Shawn Orecchio (born 1972) is a retired professional snowboarder〔(''Zoom with a view'', NJ Star-Ledger )〕 and mountain biker. He is also the founder of the US Open of Mountain Biking, the Diablo Freeride Park and several notable ski resort terrain parks. Summers found Orecchio mountain biking in North Lake Tahoe, as part of an off-season fitness regimen. On January 29, 2011, Orecchio returned to professional snowboard competition achieving a 5th place result in the Boardercross discipline at Boreal Mountain Resort in North Lake Tahoe.
